Johnny Sanders originally began his career as an industrial audiologist by establishing Hearing Testing, Inc. (HTI) in 1979. HTI was one of the first mobile testing companies in the United States. He was instrumental in the design, actual construction, and operation of the mobile units.
Hearing Conservation Standard
During the formative years of HTI, Johnny was also very active professionally by contributing to OSHA’s information gathering process in the development of the 1910.95 Hearing Conservation standard with the final version becoming law on March 8, 1983. As part of the regulation, the Council of the Accreditation of Hearing Conservationists (CAOHC) was established to train and certify individuals in hearing testing as well as complying with the regulation. Johnny is one of the original Course Directors for CAOHC and has trained and certified thousands of individuals since 1983.
Johnny was convinced by existing clients to expand beyond on-site hearing testing to include a full range of occupational screening and surveillance exams. He began designing and building mobile units with chest x-ray, physical exam rooms, and other space to accommodate multi-phasic exam components such as blood draw, vision screening, hearing testing, respirator fit testing, electrocardiograms (ECG), vitals, spirometry, drug screen collections and more.
Johnny changed the company name to Health Testing, Inc. to more accurately represent the services HTI offered.
Johnny sold HTI and dabbled in various ventures until eventually forming Health Testing Solutions, LP in 2005.
Health Testing Solutions, LP (HTS) was formed in 2005 between Johnny and his son, Darren Sanders. Together, they continue where Johnny first started by offering on-site mobile occupational medical screening and surveillance services to customers throughout the country. HTS enjoys partnerships with many Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller and mid-size companies across the United States representing a variety of industries including manufacturing, energy, transportation, packaging, healthcare, and many more.
